The Honorable Sue H. Roe was elected to take office January 1, 1984 and has consecutively held and continues to hold the Office of Probate Judge for Aiken County SC.

Prior to being elected to the bench as Probate Judge she had twenty years tenure in the office of Clerk of Court for Aiken County, which included 10 years as the elected Clerk of Court; She served as president of  SC Association of Counties; She served on the National Association of Counties Justice and Public Safety Steering Committee for 5 years which included 3 years as chairman;  She was appointed by the NACO president as one of 10 presidential appointees to The National Association of Counties Board of Directors; Judge Roe served as chairman of the Aiken County Judicial Center Renovation Committee.
