Judge Faulkner was elected to the office of Probate Judge on November 3, 1998. Prior to her election, she served 4 years as Associate Probate Judge for Greenville County.
Judge Faulkner graduated with honors from the University of South Carolina in 1979 and received her law degree in 1982 from the USC School of Law. She practiced law in Greenville for 13 years prior to her judicial service. She practiced in Probate Court, Family Court, Circuit Court, Federal District Court and the S.C. Supreme Court.
She was appointed by Chief Justice Jean Toal to serve on the Judicial Council. The Judicial Council is charged with improving the court system and the administration of justice in the State of South Carolina. She also serves on the Probate Court Advisory Committee, which is charged with advising the Chief Justice on Probate Court practice and procedures.
She is a member of the S.C. Bar Association, the Greenville County Bar, and the National College of Probate Judges. She serves as President of the S.C. Probate Judges Association. She is a graduate of the National Judicial College. Judge Faulkner serves on several community boards: The Greenville East Rotary, Urban League of the Upstate, and the Humane Society.
She is a volunteer with the Warehouse Theater and a volunteer speaker for Greenville Memorial Hospice. She is a graduate of Leadership Greenville, Class XXVI.
